Chapter 33: Post-9/11 GI Bill®
If you served at least 90 days of aggregate active duty service on or after September 11, 2001, or received a Purple Heart on or after September 11, 2001 and were honorably discharged after any amount of service, or if you are an honorably discharged Veteran, or were discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days of continuous service, you may be eligible for Post-9/11 GI Bill®: benefits.
The Post-9/11 GI Bill® provides up to 36 months of education benefits (up to 48 months if you have 2 or more qualifying periods of active duty). Monthly benefits are administered through the US Department of Veterans Affairs and paid directly to CTU. Amounts are based on your rate of pursuit and length of service percentage. Assistance for correspondence training, entrepreneurship training, flight training, independent and distance learning, undergraduate and graduate degrees, and more are eligible under the Post-9/11 GI Bill®.
The Yellow Ribbon Program and Transfer of Entitlement Option are both available under the Post-9/11 GI Bill®. Additional conditions may apply.
